The Problem

The client was struggling with communication on a large-scale level. Between emailing his contractors to writing post it notes for his staff, he was unable to remember or document when he told what to whom. This was leading to communication that both could not be tracked and was not consistent.


The Solution

Through thorough research, our team found Skype for Business to be the perfect solution. Skype for Business works as both an internal and an external communication platform. Between instant messenger to board meeting invitations, the client’s company was able to effectively streamline their main channel of communication.


The Result

Communication was now trackable and professional. Skype for Business integrates with Microsoft’s Office Suite, which means that one password and one login works for all users in both Skype and Windows. Additionally, communication with external vendors now had a streamlined and trackable avenue. Skype for Business allows the client to email both his team leader and his contractor within the same space. Expectations were put in place for both staff and leaders which encouraged this new form of communication at all levels.

How We Did It

The process of finding out the best avenue for establishing new communication lines involved research first and foremost. Our team read reviews of Skype for Business, compared prices for this platform to other similar ones, and ran the ideas by the client’s technology team.


Skype for Business was launched shortly thereafter. From instant messages within the office that signaled an impromptu meeting to hosting a multiple-office conference call, Skype for Business was the best solution the client needed. In integrating to this new technology, the client was able to free up around an hour per day in unnecessary emails and phone calls. More time is expected to be saved as the client and his team better learn the technology.
