Our client, a busy entrepreneur who travels frequently for business, needed a way to scan receipts/travel documents on the go so that he could submit his expenses for reimbursement. He was not a fan of holding on to pockets full of receipts on his sometimes extended trips, and we needed to find a user-friendly, effective solution for him.
AdobeScan is a free app that turns users Apple and Android devices into powerful scanning tools. Simply snapping a picture of documents/receipts in the app automatically saves the documents as PDF’s in the Adobe Document Cloud. The PDF’s can then be notated and shared a variety of different ways, or left safely in the Adobe Document Cloud for later reference.
Our client can now scan all of his receipts on the go, in real-time, making notes of which client they are billable to. He loves the fact that he doesn’t have to keep track of his receipts throughout his trips, and also that we are able to sign into his Adobe Document Cloud to retrieve the receipts and add the expenses to his client invoices for him.
How We Helped
Once our team identified Adobe Scan as the solution for our client, we got to work setting up an account (which takes all of 5 minutes) and sent him the link with instructions for installing the app on his iPhone. While he is traveling, our team monitors the Adobe Document Cloud for new receipts and enters his expenses into Quickbooks to invoice the client to ensure no expense goes unbilled. Our team loves the ease of use of this solution, and the client loves never having to rifle through his things to find receipts when he returns from business travel. Adobe Scan for the win!
