The Problem
Our team was in charge of updating employee contract forms that were in PDF format. This would require download of software - either Adobe or a third party - to be able to physically edit the contract. The client and her Delegate Solutions associate agreed that they needed some cloud-based tool for editing PDFs of this nature.
The Solution
In searching online forums for the best, no-frills PDF editing tool, our team came across none other than Google Drive. Our team was able to upload a PDF to Drive itself, open the PDF as a Google text document, edit the text, and then turn it back into PDF format.
The Result
The result of this application - using the already implemented Google Drive for editing PDFs - was seamless. Our team was able to edit and alter contracts to the client's specifications. This task was completed without any harmful downloads to the team's’ computers.
How We Helped
These contracts, as with a lot of things in the business world, needed updates immediately. This
meant that a solution was needed quickly; there was no real time to research a new editing tool
and download the software. Instead, our knowledge of Google Drive came into play. PDF contracts were edited, no potentially harmful agents were downloaded to computers, and the client saved in multiple ways. The client both saved 1-2 hours on editing contracts and absolutely saved on the purchase of Adobe Acrobat editing software.
