The Problem
The client was finding that he was sending his wife brief text messages periodically throughout the day in regards to their multiple shared priorities. Those included several details: home expenses, childcare, travel dates, work tasks, and even grocery lists. The client’s wife did not work well with this sporadic communication throughout the day. Instead, she wanted to attend on her home’s priorities at a specific and focused time of the day and not answer messages all-throughout.
The Solution
Stormboard, a collaborative type of tool, was the resource to implement. This platform acts as a bulletin board with a sort of “sticky note whiteboard” approach. The client was able to jot his thoughts throughout the day onto the couple’s shared Stormboard, and his wife could review the board whenever she had time to dedicate and focus.
The Result
Although the platform of Stormboard is intended for business purposes, the beauty of its design is that it is approachable even for couples just trying to run their home life. Through categories, drag and drop boxes, and a mobile-friendly app, the client and his wife were now able to collaborate in one space without messing up each individual’s specific working style.
How We Helped
Our team working with the client suggested the Stormboard technology to him. The team had used it in the past in communicating within Delegate Solutions, and so this platform just made sense for two or more collaborators who were operating in different spaces.
Easy implementation took place, the couple now communicates on each of their own schedules, and hours each day - of communication and text messaging - were saved for both the client and his wife.
