Automatically Adding Contact Info to Your CRM From Your Calendar Event

The Problem

A client was consistently having our team enter data to her CRM. The client was using Insightly and wanted every sales lead call scheduled through her Calendly app to be turned into an Insightly contact. This request made sense due to the emails and phone numbers that were collected in the Calendly booking, but manual entry didn’t make sense in terms of saving our team’s time.

The Solution

Our team implemented Zapier. Zapier is an online tool that allows a trigger to create an action. In short, once a Calendly appointment is scheduled, that acts as a trigger whose action is to add that information to Insightly. In signing up for a phone call with the Delegate Solutions client, the new sales lead was automatically added to the CRM.  Zapier allowed this to happen.



The Result

The results of implementing Zapier for the client saved and continues to conserve significant amount of data entry time. No longer is our team typing in a lead’s first name, last name, email address, and phone number, but instead our team allows Zapier to do all the hard work and heavy lifting.

 

How We Helped

Our team was the sleuth who found and implemented Calendly and Insightly integration through Zapier. Our team knew that they were constantly entering data and since it was a repetitive process, they wondered if there was a way to automate it.
