The Problem
The client continuously needed business trips to be planned and executed with precision. This required syncing up his calendar with his flight times, his hotel information, and car rental details. It became a burden to consistently add these trips to his calendar, nearly weekly, ensuring nothing got missed.
The Solution
In doing research, our team found the client a website called TripIt. This mobile-friendly app and website serves as a catch-all platform for the client’s travel details. He can choose to name a trip, such as “Detroit” or “Conference,” and all details associated with that travel remain under that trip.
The Result
Our team, who found and implemented TripIt, was able to keep him on track with his trips. They ensured all information was in each trip before he left. They also made sure it synced with his calendar, making calendar events with corresponding confirmation and flight numbers.
How We Helped
Besides being the quality control of the trip information, our team also created a streamlined process for the client, ensuring he never had to manually enter the information into TripIt or his calendar again. Our team found that the site allows a user to email to a general TripIt mailbox, and once that email is noticed by TripIt to be associated with a certain user, the information gets added to the relevant trip without need to enter data.
A hotel confirmation email can be forwarded from the client’s email inbox to TripIt, and TripIt will beautifully sync it with the correct trip. It truly is perfect automation and organization for business travel.
