Benefits of a Virtual Administrative Assistant

Benefits of a Virtual Administrative Assistant
Contributed by our Team Member, Jessi

Research has proven that success is based critically on having the right person, in the right seat within the organization.

One of the easiest ways to free up the time of key leaders within an organization is by ensuring that they have the right support to allow them the time and freedom to address what is important for their role. In almost all cases, we can say that the right fit is by hiring an administrative assistant. In this increasingly virtual world, virtual assistants are becoming commonplace.

There are so many great benefits to having a quality virtual assistant, but streamlined processes, improved performance, expert knowledge, and time freedom are some of the most important to us here at Delegate.

Myths about Virtual Assistants

Myths about Virtual Assistants
Contributed by our Team Member, Tara

The word Virtual Assistant may be somewhat of a new term for you. Look back a year ago and most of us were going to our office jobs, meeting with people face to face, and even shaking hands. Fast forward to today, in the middle of a global pandemic, and it's rare to hear of anyone going into the office to work. The word “remote” has become the word of 2020 and most likely the word of 2021.

2020 has become the Virtual Assistants’ time to shine! Many have closed their physical offices and are looking for a way to have the strategic support they need, but from afar. When you think about a Virtual Assistant lots of things may come to mind, and many of them may just not be true. While there are a plethora of myths about us out there, I thought I would focus on 5 of my favorites.

Recent Trends: Virtual Assistants

Recent Trends: Virtual Assistants

It’s no surprise to anyone that the number of people working remotely in2020 has grown astronomically. While many businesses and employees work from home because of the pandemic, there is a special faction of employees, freelancers, and contractors who have long been remote workers in a virtual assistant role. These lucky folks did not need to transition quite so dramatically as many full time, location-based employees had to this past spring. Rather, they kept moving along and largely found their demand increased.

Goal Planning in the Time of Corona

HELLO | TWELVE, NOVEMBER 2020

Happy Friday and welcome to the end of a tumultuous week!  A friend of mine texted the other day asking me what tools I'm using to organize myself and my time and how am I thinking about goals lately.  I had to laugh at the question.  Being a mom and a business owner, life feels anything but intentional or organized since March.  Like everyone else, goals that I had set for myself back in January, by March became irrelevant and impossible to accomplish in the blink of an eye.

A few of my personal goals written in my shiny new planner in January were: Go to South Africa and take an Alaskan cruise, Go to the gym 3x per week and Take off every day when my son doesn't have school.  Little did I know that I would add the undeserved title of "home school director" to my list of titles three months later!  :)

The Weather Woman

HELLO | TWELVE, OCTOBER 2020

Happy Friday and welcome to the final quarter of what has proved to be a challenging year on so many levels.  The speed at which we've had to move this year as leaders is enough to cause whiplash for both us and our teams. I have watched my own team rise to the occasion - which is so inspiring for me to watch as a leader.

How to Get Anything Done

HELLO | TWELVE, AUGUST 2020

Happy Friday! I hope that Summer is treating you well. Here in NJ we have been busy outside enjoying our pool and raising CHICKENS! Yes, my family and I are now raising backyard hens, as we are in search of fresh eggs!

We have 4 silkie hens and I have been working behind the scenes with my township to change the ordinance to allow for backyard hens. Our refreshed, more liberal ordinance just got passed and I'm now the official Chair of our Backyard Hen Advisory Board.. so if you have chicken related questions, I'm happy to help! :)
